Fintant
Bank and card reconciliations

Get one reconciliation off your backlog.

Fintant prepares source-linked bank and credit-card reconciliation workpapers for accounting-firm review. Your firm evaluates the exceptions, approves the accounting treatment, and keeps the client relationship.

When this solution fits

Start with a defined review problem.

  • A bank or credit-card account is behind or consuming reviewer preparation time.
  • Statements and ledger records are available for a defined entity and period.
  • The firm wants an organized workpaper rather than a loose matching export.
  • A named firm reviewer can decide unresolved accounting items.
What your firm defines

Inputs and review boundary

  • Complete bank or credit-card statements for the agreed period
  • Ledger or transaction records covering the same period
  • The firm's chart, reconciliation format, and materiality instructions
  • A named reviewer and the expected review-ready output
What your reviewer receives

Prepared output and exceptions

  • Statement and ledger coverage control
  • Source-linked transaction matching results
  • Outstanding-item and variance schedules
  • Visible missing-record and judgment exceptions
  • Versioned workpaper prepared for firm review
Controlled workflow

Preparation moves through four accountable stages.

Scope, evidence, preparation, QA, and the firm's decision remain explicit throughout the engagement.

01

Confirm coverage

Map received statements and ledger periods, then surface missing or unusable records before matching begins.

02

Match and investigate

Compare source transactions, identify matches, and isolate outstanding items, duplicates, and variances.

03

Prepare and quality review

Assemble the workpaper, run the defined controls, and complete separate Fintant QA.

04

Hand off for firm decision

Release the versioned package with evidence and unresolved exceptions for the authorized firm reviewer.

Early workflow proof

Evidence from completed reconciliation work.

Early workflow proof demonstrates controlled reconciliation capability. It does not represent broad customer scale, paid-firm traction, or a guaranteed result for a future file.

Control boundary

Preparation is not final approval.

Fintant does not approve the reconciliation, choose material accounting treatment, or post an adjustment to the ledger.

Fintant prepares the agreed work and completes separate internal QA. Your accounting firm retains professional judgment, final approval, the client relationship, and external communication.

Questions before delegating

What firms usually clarify first

What makes a suitable first reconciliation?

Choose one entity, one account or bounded account set, a defined period, available statements and ledger records, and a named firm reviewer.

What happens when a statement or ledger period is missing?

The gap is recorded as an exception. Fintant does not silently treat incomplete coverage as reconciled.

Will Fintant post the reconciling entries?

No. The workpaper can identify items requiring the firm's decision, but posting remains outside the standard service.

First workflow

Start with one bounded scope and one named reviewer.

The initial assessment requires workflow details only, not client files or sensitive financial values.
